Privacy Policy

Last updated September 28, 2026.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect the email address and password you sign up with through our authentication provider, Supabase. When you set up your profile, we collect the display name, username, bio, and avatar image you choose to add.

We store the content you post—prayer requests, comments, updates—along with the people you follow, the support you give, and the privacy and notification preferences you set in your account settings.

How we use your information

We use your information to operate the feed, notifications, and profile features you sign up for, and to enforce our Terms of Use—including reviewing reported content and applying the automated word-count and prohibited-language checks we run on new posts.

What we share

Content you post publicly is visible to other members according to the visibility and privacy settings you choose. We do not sell your personal information. We share data with the service providers that run our infrastructure—currently Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage—only as needed to operate the app.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your cookie preference. With your permission, we also use Google Tag Manager to understand how Prayerer is used so we can improve it. You can accept or decline analytics cookies, and change your choice at any time from the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Content moderation and reports

If a prayer or comment receives reports from three independent members, it is automatically hidden pending review. Reports keep a snapshot of the reported content so moderators can review it even if it is later edited or removed. Moderators can restore hidden content, dismiss reports, or suspend accounts that violate our terms.

Your choices

From your account settings you can control who can comment on your posts and see your follower list, block other members, update your profile, and delete individual posts. You can also permanently delete your account and its associated data, including your avatar, at any time from settings.

Data security

Access to your data is enforced at the database level, so every client that talks to Prayerer is bound by the same authorization rules. We do not store payment information—the service is currently free to use.

Children's privacy

Prayerer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

Prayerer is in beta, and this policy may change as the product evolves. We will update the date at the top of this page when we make changes.
